    SunPower is an American solar energy company founded in 1985 in San Jose, California, by Richard Swanson. The professor of electrical engineering from Stanford University established the company to produce innovative solar capture and storage technology, such as photovoltaic cells, panels, inverters, chargers, and batteries.

    A Series

    The A-Series is a group of SunPower solar panels that use 6” N-type IBC Gen 5 solar cells arranged in a 66-cell array. They have a lower voltage than the X and S series panels but have a higher power output, producing 390W to 415W on average. They also have a high power efficiency rating of 22%.

    The A Series panels come in three types:

    420-390 W Residential A.C. Module

    This model uses 66 Maxeon Gen 5 solar cells, which are 65% bigger than the Gen 3 solar cells, but 60% lighter. As a result, they are more powerful and efficient. The panel’s energy efficiency is 60% higher than that of a conventional solar panel.

    390-400W Residential BLK DC

    This model uses 66 Maxeon Gen 5 solar cells, which are much bigger than the ones in the 420-390 W Residential A.C. unit. These SunPower solar panels are considered 54% more energy efficient than other conventional panels.

    430-450 W Commercial A-Series Panels

    M Series
