Many organizations have focused for decades on promoting clean energy to help us build a more sustainable future. Still more are popping up today, thanks to the urgency of finding green alternatives.

Solar United Neighbors is a national non-profit organization that represents the needs and interests of solar owners and supporters. The organization is dedicated to helping people and communities go solar and mobilize for energy rights.
The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)
The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) is the national non-profit trade association of the solar-energy industry in the United States. SEIA works to strengthen the U.S.’s solar industry by representing all organizations dedicated to the development, manufacturing, installation, and promotion of solar energy.
Renewables Accelerator
The Renewables Accelerator helps U.S. cities meet to advance their renewable energy goals by providing cutting-edge tools, resources, and technical assistance. By delivering knowledge, tools, support, and peer learning, this organization helps quickly implement and scale clean energy solutions for cities.
American Solar Energy Society
American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that advocates for sustainable living and 100% renewable energy. Since 1954, this organization has helped build community and progress solar development in the U.S. and around the world, by sharing resources, information, and events related to solar energy.
Everybody Solar
Everybody Solar is committed to building healthy, sustainable communities, and works to protect the environment through solar energy projects. The organization provides solar power to local charities to help reduce electricity costs and direct their limited resources to the communities they serve.
Global Solar Council
The Global Solar Council, an international non-profit association of the national, regional, and international associations in solar energy, offers programs in regulatory policy, trade policy, new market opening, and jobs & skills training. This association works to help distribute clean energy and provide access to solar power.
No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge
This organization encourages politicians and political candidates to take the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge to commit to rejecting support from the fossil fuel industry and protecting the environment and public’s health. Taking this pledge requires a politician to adopt a policy limiting any known PAC, lobbyist, or fossil fuel executives’ contributions to their campaigns to under $200.
Oil Change U.S.
Oil Change U.S. works to enact change in the political system to support climate leadership and a world beyond fossil fuels. This organization is working to stop further damage that climate change is already causing to the environment.
Rocky Mountain Institute
Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI)’s mission is to transform global energy use to create a clean, prosperous, and secure low-carbon future. RMI works to get businesses, communities, institutions, and entrepreneurs to adopt market-based solutions to ease the shift from fossil fuels to energy-efficient and renewable alternatives.

Solar Energy International (SEI), founded in 1991 as a nonprofit educational organization, works to provide technical training and expertise in renewable energy to people, communities, and businesses worldwide to help empower their access to solar power.
Solar Living Institute
The Solar Living Institute is the educational component of the Solar Living Center, a solar-powered training eco-campus dedicated to sustainable living. Spanning 12 acres in Mendocino County, California, the institute offers educational and volunteer opportunities through inspirational, experiential programs and an onsite network of demonstrations.
